Gene Wang

Chief Financial & Operating Officer

Gene Wang serves as Chief Financial & Operating Officer at President Asset Group, where he directs the company’s financial planning, strategy, reporting, compliance, and operational functions. He ensures alignment between the firm’s investment strategy and the long-term financial goals of its shareholders by optimizing asset allocation and performance, strengthening financial controls and risk management, and sourcing equity and debt financing.

Mr. Wang brings over 15 years of experience in commercial real estate acquisitions, project finance, and portfolio management. Prior to joining President Asset Group, Mr. Wang served as Vice President and Portfolio Manager in the Commercial Real Estate Group at California Bank & Trust (Zions Bancorporation), where he was responsible for one of the bank’s largest portfolios of mini-perm/bridge loans comprising multifamily, industrial, office, retail, and for-sale residential projects primarily in the $10 million to $50 million range. His background in balance sheet lending spans acquisitions, entitlement and construction financing, and repositioning/value-add strategies, with a focus on complex transactions such as portfolios, syndications, and hybrid debt structures. Mr. Wang began his career as an analyst at STC Management, supporting the acquisition and management of commercial properties primarily in the San Gabriel Valley. He previously completed internships at Nomura International in Hong Kong, where he contributed to equity research on master-planned residential developments in major Chinese cities, and Morgan Stanley in Pasadena, CA, where he assisted in providing financial advisory services to high-net worth private clients.

Gene holds a BA in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley. Outside of his professional life, Gene is an avid motorsport enthusiast and rock climber who enjoys spending time in Joshua Tree and Squamish BC.
